Chelated Zn EDTA, also known as zinc ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, is a form of zinc that is chemically bound to the EDTA molecule.  EDTA (ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid) is a chelating agent, meaning it forms stable complexes with metal ions like zinc. The chelation process involves the formation of multiple bonds between the metal ion (zinc) and the ligand (EDTA).  These bonds are typically stronger and more resistant to chemical changes than the original metal ion alone. Chelated Zn EDTA is often used in various industries, including agriculture, food and beverage, and nutritional supplements.In agricultural applications, Chelated Zn Edta is often added to fertilizers or sprayed onto crops to prevent zinc deficiencies in plants.  Zinc is an essential micronutrient for plant growth and development, and chelating it with EDTA helps ensure its efficient uptake by plant roots.

Usage:
EDTA Zn 15% may be applied in one application of 1.0 kilogram per hectare, but optimum results can be expected if repeat applications are used. In general, foliar applications should be started early in the season as soon as there is sufficient leaf area to absorb the spray.
